2008 will go down in the Daisy history books as one of the most blah years ever. I would do a review, but sadly, I remember so little of it. Is this what happens when one gets old, or has the year really been that meh?
Most memorable personal event: The trip to Pittsburgh where I finally ate a Primanti Brothers Sandwich and saw a teeny tiny miniature Gary Allan from a 200 yards away with no jumbotron. I also got cheese tots from a Pennsylvania Sonic after the concert and found out that Sonic bags are NOT invincible when it comes to my friend Jen's puke (damn that last fake Long Island Iced Tea!).
Oh, and did I mention that I WROTE A FREAKIN' CRAPTASTIC NOVEL THIS YEAR (to be edited in 2009)?
Farewell, 2008. You were a boring yet stressful year that has been a bitch to most everyone I know. The only good thing that arose triumphantly from your reign is President Barack Obama. Okay, so maybe 2008 won't fad into obscurity for that reason alone.
Tonight, I shall celebrate the upcoming new year by chowing down on homemade calzones and rockin' out with my two favorite people in the world. That probably sounds pretty boring to most, but I'm kinda looking forward to it!
Here's to a more hopeful, positive, and fortunate New Year to all my friends. *champagne flute clink*
